William T. (Tom) Watson, CPA - Tax Manager

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Southern Arkansas University and is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Texas. Prior to working in public accounting, Tom served as general accountant for Campbell’s Soup Company for 6 years. Tom then moved into public accounting and had 35 years’ experience before joining our firm in August of 2015. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. His experience is in income taxation of individuals, businesses, and estates/trusts, and audits of local governments, not-for-profits, and for-profit companies. Tom was born in Conway, Arkansas and grew up in Houston, Texas. He is a long-time member of the Palestine Kiwanis Club, and enjoys spending time with his kids, grandkids, and dogs.

Sonda Baker - Client Services Manager

Sonda joined our firm in August of 2015 after 24 years of experience with another public accounting firm. Sonda attended Navarro College and Abilene Christian University and has over 25 years of experience in the preparation of payroll reports, bookkeeping services, and income tax return preparation. She serves as Sunday school teacher and loves to spend time with her four grandchildren, attending their sporting events, traveling, and cooking.

Accountants

Frank Campos, CPA - President

​Frank founded this firm in November of 2001. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 1988 from the University of Texas at Austin and was licensed as a certified public accountant in 1992. Originally from Killeen, Texas, Frank moved to Palestine after graduating college and took a position at another firm in town. After gaining 11 years of experience in public accounting, Frank decided to start his own company. His career has provided him with knowledge in a wide range of topics including payroll; individual, corporate, partnership, gift, estate, and trust taxation; bookkeeping; QuickBooks consulting; audits of not-for-profits, governmental, and manufacturing industries; Single Audits; and general business consulting. Frank’s desire is to help his community by providing excellent accounting services using his over 30 years of experience in public accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and an Associate Member of Certified Fraud Examiners Association. Outside of the office, Frank’s hobbies include woodworking, boating, and swimming.

Maria K. Campos, CPA - Partner

Maria joined our firm in January of 2018 after five years in public accounting. She is a certified public accountant and holds a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting both from the University of Texas at Tyler. Maria’s experience in public accounting primarily resides in audit, reviews, and compilations of local governments, not-for-profit organizations, banking and financial institutions, manufacturing companies, single audit, and employee benefit plans. Additionally, Maria prepares individual income tax returns, trust and estate returns, and some corporate and partnership returns. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. She also serves as Treasurer for Joyful Inspirations and Palestine Junior Service League, and is on the board of the Palestine Education Foundation . Maria enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family.

Christina M. Elias - Tax Preparer

Christina joined our firm in February of 2018 as an intern. After graduating from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2019, she accepted a position as a full-time tax preparer. She primarily prepares individual tax returns and has experience preparing not-for-profit, trust, and business returns. Christina is from Palestine and enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. 

Wesley L. Campos, CPA - Partner

Wesley is a certified public accountant licensed to practice public accounting in Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He joined our firm in October of 2013 and his experience is primarily in financial statement audits of local governments and not-for-profit organizations, reviews, and compilations, as well as payroll tax, QuickBooks consulting, and income tax return preparation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and tax-exempt entities. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Wesley likes to spend time with his family and friends, playing racquetball, and weightlifting.

Mariela Campos - Bookkeeper/Payroll Accountant

Mariela has been with our firm since November of 2013. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M Central Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Mariela is bilingual and prepares payroll checks, calculates and pays payroll tax liabilities, performs bookkeeping, and prepares individual income tax returns. Outside of the office, Mariela loves shopping and spending time with her family and friends, and serves our community as a member of the Palestine Junior Service League.

Dana Morgan, CPA - Auditor

Dana holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler, is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Texas, and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs. She has a wide variety of experience since beginning in the accounting industry in 1996 including bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and audit. Dana joined our firm full-time in November of 2021 and has been a great asset to our team. Dana spends her time with family and friends and loves traveling, sewing, and crafting. 

Laura Lintner - Tax Preparer

Laura first joined our firm in January of 2014, but took time out to start her family. We were happy to have her return in 2018 as a tax preparer primarily working in income tax, bookkeeping, and payroll. Laura graduated cum laude with an Associate of Arts degree weighted in Accounting in 2011. She enjoys spending time with family, crocheting, creating customized shirts, and glass etching.
